Cybersecurity Analyst II – Information Security/Information Technology – Central Services Application Deadline August 20, 2026 Salary $9,094 to $11,555 monthly (or $9,345 to $11,806 if holding a Doctorate) Position Summary The Cybersecurity Analyst II leads advanced threat analysis, incident response, vulnerability management, and the development of security policies and procedures. The role collaborates with IT teams and stakeholders to strengthen the organization’s security posture and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Experience: 3–5 years in cybersecurity or related roles. Preferred certifications: CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA Security, Palo Alto Networks PCNSA, EC-Council CEH, ISC2 CISSP. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Advanced principles of cybersecurity and information security. Familiarity with SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR/XDR, firewalls, and other security tools. In‑depth vulnerability assessment and management. Ability to lead analysis and response to complex security incidents. Ability to develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures. Strong communication skills with both technical and non‑technical audiences. Collaboration with IT teams and stakeholders. Essential Duties Advanced Security Monitoring and Incident Response: Lead monitoring and response to complex incidents; conduct forensic investigations. Vulnerability Management: Conduct vulnerability assessments and scans; develop remediation plans. Threat Intelligence and Analysis: Analyze threat intelligence and security data; provide strategic recommendations. Security Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement security policies, plans, and guidelines to ensure compliance. User Training and Awareness: Lead security awareness training and promote a culture of security. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of incidents, vulnerabilities, and remediation efforts; prepare reports for management. Other Duties as Assigned: Perform additional IT, information security, or office‑related duties as required. Licenses and Certificates Valid California Motor Vehicle Operator’s License Physical and Mental Standards Mobility: sit for long periods, stand occasionally, reach above and below desk level. Dexterity: operate keyboard, handle papers, write and take notes. Lifting: occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Visual: close vision sufficient for reading files and computer screens. Hearing/Talking: normal speech, telephone use, in‑person communication. Emotional/Psychological: decision making, concentration, public contact, meeting deadlines. Typical Working Conditions Standard office environment. May require occasional evening and weekend work.
