Operations Supervisor - Structural (2nd Shift)

Overview General Dynamics Electric Boat, the nation's premier designer and builder of nuclear submarines, is seeking Operations Supervisors to take part in building the most complex product in the world. The Structural Operations Supervisor must possess an energetic and positive attitude and be willing to change and develop as requirements of assigned tasks dictate. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Responsible for daily assignments and overall coordination of employees to ensure maximum performance, efficiency and quality of functions. Qualifications Required: High school diploma or equivalent Must meet one of the following criteria: 1+ year of related experience at Electric Boat 1+ year of Electric Boat experience combined with a related Engineering degree 3 years combined relevant experience and leadership experience in a high-volume setting Available to work all shifts, including extended hours, weekends or holidays as business needs dictate Possess strong PC skills including proficiency with the MS Word and Excel Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the Department of Defense Preferred: 2+ years' steel fabrication/shipfitting or welding experience Supervisory/leadership experienceVertical cylinder experience in both fitting and welding Vocational, Technical and Community Colleges or Apprentice programs Relevant education or training Proficiency in blueprint and drawing interpretation MDU Navy/military Skills Strong organizational, presentation and communication skills Ability to interact with various levels of employees in the organization Demonstrated leadership skills Physical Qualifications Climbing Crawling Kneeling Light Lifting Medium Lifting Pulling Pushing Reaching Stooping Twisting Environmental Attributes Cold Dry Dusty Fumes Hot Inside Noise Oily #J-18808-Ljbffr General Dynamics Electric Boat
