About the Position

Job Title: RN - MICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in acute care ICU License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of current acute care ICU RN hospital experience. Description: This position involves working in a medical intensive care unit. The unit has 26 beds and is staffed by approximately 65 personnel. Patient ratios during night shifts are typically 2:1 but are never guaranteed. Staffing on this unit includes a Day Shift Charge RN and Patient Care Technicians. The equipment utilized includes Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy and electronic medical records systems. Candidates with previous experience in a large trauma facility are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to perform moderate sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, and airway management. Teamwork, coachability, adaptability, and a positive attitude are essential for success in this role.
