Discovery Research Domain Analyst, IT Business Analyst

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a detail-oriented analyst to support early drug discovery innovation through data. The role involves collaborating with research stakeholders to translate scientific needs into technical requirements, supporting data product development, and maintaining documentation across molecular invention, biology, and preclinical research domains.

Responsibilities

Work with research stakeholders to understand data workflows and document business requirements
Translate scientific needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements for engineering teams
Map workflows, identify friction points, and escalate risks to product leads
Collaborate with data engineers on data collection, testing, validation, and continuous improvement
Maintain metadata, business glossaries, and documentation supporting FAIR-aligned practices

Requirements

B.S. or M.S. in life sciences, informatics, data, or technical discipline
2+ years experience in IT, informatics, data analysis, business analysis, or scientific data roles
Practical experience or strong grounding in early life sciences domains and research workflows
Analytical problem-solving skills with ability to organize information and identify patterns
Effective collaboration with scientific and technical teams
Ability to learn new tools and adapt in dynamic environments
IIBA certification or similar business analysis certification (preferred)

Compensation: Cambridge Crossing: $83,680–$101,404; Princeton, NJ: $76,080–$92,185
