Start Date: 08/24/2026
End Date: 11/21/2026
Shift: 12-Hour Mids/Eves (1p-1a)
Hours/week: 36-40 hours
Employment Type: Contract (Travel/Per Diem)
License/Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, CPI or MOAB (TNCC preferred)
Experience: Minimum of 2 years ED experience, willing to accept first-time travelers with 2 years of perm staff RN experience in acute care if applicable
Hourly Pay Rate: $50.25/hour

What You'll Do
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population, including pediatrics to geriatrics
- Manage patients with conditions such as cardiac issues, diabetes, DKA, dialysis needs, renal failure, cancer, infectious diseases, CHF, ESRD, LVAD, trauma, stroke, and chest pain
- Perform advanced procedures including IV starts, NGT insertion, chest tube management, defibrillation, splinting, and stroke assessments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, ED techs, and support staff
- Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system (Meditech Expanse)
- Support patient safety and comfort, ensuring adherence to all protocols and standards
What You Need
- Valid RN license in Louisiana or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of recent ED experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, CPI or MOAB certifications
- Strong clinical skills, including EKG competency and trauma care experience
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including every other weekend and major holidays
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
About the Assignment This emergency department handles approximately 120 patients daily, offering a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The unit is well-supported with ED physicians, techs, and specialized resources to provide excellent patient care. You will be part of a dedicated team committed to quality and safety in a busy healthcare setting. Orientation includes both hospital and unit periods to ensure smooth integration into the team.
