About The Role

Nickson is seeking an Asset Recovery & Warehouse Associate to join our Operations Team.

In this position, you’ll help refurbish, recondition, and maintain Nickson furniture, décor, housewares, and home goods to ensure every item meets Nickson’s quality and presentation standards before installation in customer homes. This hands-on role is essential to delivering the polished, move-in-ready experience our customers expect.

This is a physically active warehouse role that combines inventory recovery, warehouse operations, furniture assembly, and general asset handling. You’ll spend your day unloading trucks, cleaning and sanitizing assets, making minor repairs, organizing inventory, and supporting overall warehouse efficiency.

What You'll Do

Asset Recovery & Inventory Processing

· Inspect returned furniture, décor, and home goods for quality and condition

· Clean, sanitize, and prepare inventory for future installations

· Perform minor repairs and touch-ups to restore items to Nickson standards

· Photograph, document, and process assets within Nickson’s inventory management system

· Ensure all processed inventory is accurately tracked, staged, and racked in the warehouse

Warehouse Operations

· Assist with loading and unloading trucks as instructed

· Lift and move furniture and home goods throughout the warehouse daily

· Sort and organize inventory on racks, shelves, and designated storage areas

· Assist with receiving shipments and scanning incoming inventory

· Support warehouse cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, organizing, and maintaining work areas

· Assist in laundry and dishwashing areas as needed

Furniture Assembly & Team Support

· Assemble furniture using basic hand and power tools

· Follow setup instructions and operational procedures with attention to detail

· Work collaboratively with warehouse and operations team members to support daily goals

· Assist with additional warehouse projects and operational tasks as needed

· Physically active and comfortable lifting and moving furniture daily

· Organized and capable of maintaining accurate inventory tracking

· Comfortable following written and verbal instructions in English or Spanish

· Adaptable and willing to help wherever needed to support warehouse operations

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have:

· 1+ years of warehouse, moving, installation, furniture assembly, or inventory handling experience

· Experience cleaning, organizing, or processing physical inventory preferred

· Familiarity with inventory tracking systems or warehouse management apps preferred

· Proficiency with basic hand and power tools

· Ability to consistently lift up to 100 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation

· Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and weather conditions

· Ability to read, write, and follow detailed written or oral instructions

· Must be a team player and treat coworkers with respect

· Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

· Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Required:

· Must have valid Texas driver’s license
