2nd Shift Freight handler

Overview Gordon Food Service is hiring for a 2nd Shift Freight Handler in Shepherdsville, KY. The role supports warehouse operations by handling pallets, pallet configuration, and inbound freight accuracy. Role Freight Handler responsibilities include safely removing pallets from trailers, breaking down products for correct pallet configurations, separating inbound freight by item code onto good pallets, accounting for damaged product, and ensuring pallet structural integrity. No prior experience is required; training will be provided. Compensation and Schedule Pay: Starting at $19.60/hour (includes a $1.00 2nd shift premium) Plus, earn two pay raises in your first year Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, with Saturdays and Sundays off 2nd Shift: 1:45pm – 10:00pm (shifts vary based on work volume) Total Rewards at GFS Affordable benefits plans start day one Weekly pay Wellness reimbursement Profit sharing & 401(k) with company match Emergency child and elder care Internal advancement: 95% of leadership is hired from within GFS Does this look like you? Ability to work in extreme cold or hot conditions in a facility with frozen products (-25F to 100F). Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
