Position Summary

Industrial Color is seeking a hands-on, TikTok-native strategist to support a global beauty client across both global and U.S. teams.

This role is designed for someone who deeply understands how content, creators, affiliates and social commerce work together on TikTok and can translate that knowledge into ideas that strengthen both brand relevance and commercial performance.

The ideal candidate will come from a fast-moving indie, challenger or digitally native beauty environment and understand how TikTok is influencing not only how beauty products are marketed, but also how they are conceived, developed, demonstrated and discovered. Candidates must be able to work onsite in El Segundo three days per week.

Requirements

TikTok Content Strategy

• Transform traditional brand content into work created specifically for TikTok
• Develop content approaches built around strong hooks, clear consumer tensions, faster pacing, disruptive visuals and platform-native storytelling
• Identify emerging formats, behaviors and creative opportunities
• Partner with creative, marketing and content teams to develop and execute TikTok-native concepts

Creators Affiliates and Social Commerce

• Bring deep knowledge of TikTok’s creator, influencer and affiliate ecosystem
• Identify creators and communities driving beauty culture and product discovery
• Develop scalable approaches to creator and affiliate activation
• Strengthen the connection between content, creators, TikTok Shop and conversion
• Recommend opportunities across product selection, creator participation, affiliate strategy and content formats

Product Packaging and Formula Innovation

• Bring TikTok and creator insights into product development conversations earlier
• Partner with innovation, product development and packaging teams to identify concepts with strong visual and demonstrative potential
• Consider how packaging, product formats, textures, transformations, application gestures and immediate product payoff will translate on TikTok
• Use platform and consumer behavior to help identify future product opportunities

Cross Functional Partnership

• Work across global and U.S. creative, marketing, innovation, product and commerce teams
• Translate fast-moving TikTok trends into clear and actionable recommendations
• Remain close to the platform while influencing teams and senior stakeholders
• Help develop faster, more responsive ways of working across content, creators and commerce
• Experience
• 5+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent level of highly relevant expertise
• Strong professional experience with TikTok content, creators, affiliates and social commerce
• Beauty experience strongly preferred, particularly within color cosmetics or skincare
• Experience within an indie, challenger, fast-growth or digitally native brand strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of TikTok Shop and creator-led commerce
• Ability to connect cultural and platform insights with creative and commercial opportunities
• Comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on in a fast-moving environment
• Strong communication, presentation and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Portfolio Requirement
• A reel, portfolio site or relevant work samples are required. Candidates should include examples of TikTok-native content, creator or affiliate activations, social commerce programs, product launches or innovation work and clearly identify their individual contribution.

Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this role is $90,000 - $120,000 annually. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.

This is a hybrid role requiring flexibility to work in-office and remotely. Evening or weekend work may occasionally be required during major projects.
