Clerical Substitutes for the School Year - K-12 Openings

Per Diem Substitute Clerical Professional

The Pittsford Central School District is seeking per diem substitute clerical professionals for the 2025-2026 school year. There is a regular, ongoing need for both half and full-day substitutes. Individuals will provide secretarial support to a building or to the various district offices as dictated by the coverage posting.

Typical duties may include but are not limited to:

• Prepare and formats legal documents, certifications, authorizations, forms, and other related paperwork
• Enter and extract data and information from a database
• Post and maintain moderately difficult records requiring general knowledge of department or agency functions
• Schedule conferences and meetings, ensuring all participants are contacted, while resolving any scheduling conflicts
• Type materials from copy, rough draft, or other instructions
• Prepare and type correspondence on matters where policy and procedures are well-defined
• Review lists, documents, and applications for completeness and accuracy
• Compile, prepare, type, and review data for completeness and accuracy
• Perform searches for information in documents, records, files, and computer databases
• Maintain databases and filing systems
• Obtain and give out information by telephone, correspondence, or in person
• Operate standard office machines such as a computer, copier, and fax machine

Building level work hours are listed below. Your work schedule may vary depending on the assignment but the building hours are typically:

School Level - Start Time - End Time

Grades K-5 - 8:40 AM - 3:05 PM

Grades 6-8 - 7:35 AM - 2:24 PM

Grades 9-12 - 7:40 AM - 2:21 PM

District Offices - 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
