Data Engineer

Salary: $85,000 - 125,000 per year Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate or bachelors degree preferred in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science/Analytics, statistics, or comparable relevant experience.
• 2-5 years of experience in data engineering or business intelligence roles.
• 3-5 years of SQL experience.
• Ability to work effectively with AWS cloud technologies such as S3 and EMR preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in Agile SDLC.
• 1+ years of dbt experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT methodologies.
• Proficiency with Python and scripting languages preferred.
• Strong grasp of industry-standard analytical modeling techniques.

• Onsite presence at our HQ in West Bend, WI, with some hybrid flexibility.

• Build clean, validated, reusable datasets from systems and infrastructure that collect and process data.
• Help establish and follow standards for data transformations, including rules and requirements for data formats and attributes.
• Support data quality standards by maintaining and improving data profiling methods.
• Uphold engineering best practices for CI/CD, unit testing, performance testing, and optimization.
• Work closely with our Data Architecture team to preserve the quality and consistency of the data model.
• Use our existing data infrastructure to handle data requests, housekeeping, cleansing, normalization, hashing, and needed data model updates.
• Analyze data to identify anomalies, trends, and similarities across datasets.
• Troubleshoot issues, evaluate potential fixes, and implement resolutions.
• Build a strong working knowledge of best practices related to PII and our risk policies and standards.
