About the Company

Our client is an innovative manufacturer and supplier of high-performance metal powders used across aerospace, automotive, medical and advanced manufacturing markets.

The company combines material quality, alloy flexibility and supply-chain independence with a more sustainable approach to metal powder production. Its materials support applications including additive manufacturing, hot isostatic pressing (HIP) and metal injection moulding (MIM).

As the business expands across the United States, it is looking for an experienced sales leader to develop its non-laser powder bed fusion customer base.

About the Role

The Metal Powder Sales Director will lead revenue growth across non-LPBF markets in the US West region.

You will identify new customers, develop strategic accounts and uncover applications for advanced metal powders across HIP, MIM and other manufacturing processes. This is a commercially focused position requiring experience selling complex technical products into engineering-led organisations.

You will own the regional pipeline, maintain accurate sales forecasts and work closely with marketing and senior sales leadership to convert emerging opportunities into long-term customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a regional sales strategy for non-LPBF metal powder markets.
• Identify and secure new business across aerospace, automotive, medical and industrial manufacturing.
• Build trusted relationships with engineering, procurement and senior commercial stakeholders.
• Grow strategic accounts and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Discover new market segments, applications and commercial opportunities.
• Promote advanced metal powder products and their technical and sustainability benefits.
• Structure and negotiate commercially attractive customer agreements.
• Maintain accurate pipeline, activity and revenue forecasts through the company CRM.
• Work with marketing to align campaigns, messaging and lead-generation activity.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging technologies.
• Provide senior leadership with regular performance updates, market insight and risk analysis.
• Represent the business at customer sites, industry events and trade shows.

Required Experience

• At least five years of successful B2B sales experience within advanced manufacturing, materials or industrial technology.
• A proven record of growing revenue in a complex, technical sales environment.
• Experience selling into aerospace, automotive, engineering or industrial markets.
• Knowledge of metal powders, additive manufacturing or related production technologies.
• Familiarity with non-LPBF markets such as HIP, MIM or other powder-based manufacturing processes.
• Strong opportunity management, sales forecasting and CRM experience.
• Experience using platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
• Strong commercial negotiation, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across sales, marketing and technical teams.
• Willingness to travel regularly throughout the United States.
