LPN Psych

Amergis Staffing is currently seeking both travel and local experienced LPN psych nurses in Kinston, NC!

Shifts available: 6a-6:30p, 36/48 EOW, with rotation of 9a-9:30p (9a-9:30p is based off of need of the unit, will not be asked often to do the 9a shift but must be ok if asked to do it)

Contract length: 16 weeks

Number of openings: 3

Start date: 6/1

Interview: Facility will call and do an over the phone interview

Caswell provides services and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, complex behavioral challenges, and/or medical conditions whose clinical treatment needs exceed the supports currently available in the community.

Orientation: 4 weeks long: schedule is M-F 8a-5p no call outs or missed days during this time at all. (Contracts will be canceled)

Facility prefers caregivers that have lived in NC for over 5 years due to not needing fingerprints as they can take up to 4-6 weeks.

Only 3 days of rto approved during initial contract

The psychiatric or mental/behavioral health LPN is responsible and accountable for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in the psychiatric unit of a hospital, mental health/behavioral health hospital, or they can be responsible for care in community settings.

The LPN must demonstrate the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with the supervision of a registered nurse and in collaboration with the care team.

Minimum requirements:

• Current LPN license in state of assignment
• 1 year experience in a psychiatric care setting preferred
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
