About Spivey Services Spivey Services is a leading provider of traffic safety and sanitation services in Virginia, offering traffic control, equipment rentals, and portable sanitation services—including restroom/shower trailers, hand-wash stations, and toilet accessories. Position Summary The Yard Assistant is responsible for supporting daily yard and shop operations by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. This role includes loading and unloading materials, cleaning equipment and facilities, and assisting with general labor tasks as needed. While driving is not required, it is considered a plus. Key Responsibilities Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the yard, shop, and surrounding areas Perform repairs and basic maintenance on portable toilets, handwashing stations, other company equipment, and load/unload materials from trucks, trailers, and storage areas Wash, sanitize, and prepare portable toilets for deployment according to company standards; perform general cleanup duties around the shop and lot, including debris removal and equipment staging Assist with periodic washing, detailing, and general cleaning of company trucks, trailers, and equipment Support yard staff and field teams by preparing, organizing or locating materials and equipment as requested Assist with basic inventory organization, including restocking commonly used items and keeping materials neatly arranged.
