Role Description The ABA Therapist/RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) is a full-time, on-site role based in Rockaway, NJ. This role involves implementing individualized ABA treatment plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), including direct one‑on‑one sessions with children in our clinic. Daily responsibilities include collecting and recording data on targeted behaviors, following behavior intervention strategies, and assisting with skill‑building in communication, social interaction, self‑help, and play. The ABA Therapist/RBT will collaborate with caregivers and team members, participate in regular team meetings and trainings, and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with organizational and ethical standards. The position requires consistent attendance, adherence to safety protocols, and a commitment to supporting the child’s progress and well‑being. Qualifications Strong foundation in Applied Behavior Analysis and Behavior Analysis, with the ability to implement treatment plans as directed by a BCBA. Background in Psychology or related field, with an understanding of child development and behavioral principles. Demonstrated Interpersonal Skills, including clear communication, empathy, and the ability to collaborate effectively with children, families, and colleagues. Experience Working With Children in therapeutic, educational, or caregiving settings, with patience and consistency in managing challenging behaviors. Current or eligible RBT certification preferred; willingness to obtain and maintain RBT credential if not already certified. High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or a related discipline is preferred. Ability to follow structured protocols, accurately collect data, and use basic technology for documentation. Reliable transportation to the Rockaway, NJ location, and ability to meet physical demands of working directly with children (e.g., sitting on the floor, engaging in play‑based activities).
