Supply Technician

About the Position: This position is located at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Duties Manage medical supply inventory by ordering, tracking, replenishing, and maintaining stock levels of medical and non-medical supplies. Coordinate supply operations by researching sources, processing requests, resolving shortages, and ensuring timely availability of required items. Receive, inspect, and distribute supplies while verifying accuracy, documenting deliveries, and ensuring proper storage conditions. Conduct inventory control activities including stock counts, discrepancy resolution, expiration date monitoring, and removal of unserviceable materials. Maintain supply records and reports by preparing purchasing documentation, tracking transactions, analyzing usage trends, and supporting budget and supply management efforts. Requirements Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. A Personnel Security Investigation is required. Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption. A pre-placement medical examination is required. Moderate to heavy lifting up to 45 pounds may be required. Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact.
