Process Engineer

Process EngineerThe position of Process Engineer is responsible for optimizing and improving manufacturing and industrial processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. They work with various teams to develop new techniques, modify existing processes, implement process improvement projects and introduce new product.Essential duties and responsibilities include:Analyzing and improving existing manufacturing processes to increase safety, efficiency and quality, while reducing costsIdentifying, evaluating, and implementing new technologies to improve manufacturing processesPerforming failure analysis, and implementing corrective and preventative actionsWorking closely with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, procurement, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth production operationsProviding hands-on support on the shop floor, integrating new products & technologies, and supporting area-wide continuous improvement initiativesParticipating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, reduce waste, and improve overall production performanceProviding training and support to end-users on new products, processes, equipment, and technologiesInvestigating and resolving production issues related to materials and processes, ensuring robust and cost-effective solutionsEstablishing metrics, collecting and analyzing data, and using statistical process control to monitor process performance and identify improvement opportunitiesUtilize SAP to model, analyze, and improve business processesSkills and requirements include:Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5 or more years of engineering, manufacturing or data analysis experienceAbility to work on manufacturing and/or assembly floorTechnical proficiency in complex manufacturing activitiesExperience with MRP/ERP softwareProficient understanding of Project ManagementDetailed oriented and adaptableMust be able to speak/read/write EnglishMust be able to lift up to 35 lbsPreferred requirements include:Experience with MRP/ERP software, preferably SAPGreen or Blackbelt in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma preferredCAD or Catia experience, highly desiredCNC, automated and robotics systems experience highly desiredWork environment includes:Medium-to-large office environmentManufacturing and/or Machining environmentFast paced, people and parts movementThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to mediumExposed to a combination of normal office type environmentsExposed to a combination of potential odors from chemicals and/or processesPhysically demandingUse of Personal Protective Equipment requiredThis position must meet export control compliance requirements.
