Key Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper Role
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payments, and customer account activity.
- The Bookkeeper will perform bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations, and account reviews to ensure accuracy.
- Enter and maintain financial data within the companys accounting system.
- Prepare and post journal entries while supporting accurate financial reporting.
- The Bookkeeper will assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
- Monitor unit cost variances and assist with establishing cost standards for materials and labor.
- The Bookkeeper will support the accounting team with special projects, process improvements, and cross-functional initiatives.
What Were Looking For in a Bookkeeper
- 2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial experience.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger processes.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
- Comfortable learning new systems and identifying opportunities to improve processes.
