Travel Respiratory Therapist - Registered RT/RRT

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with acute care ventilator experience for a 13-week night shift assignment at a hospital respiratory care unit.

Job Details

• Hospital setting with 371 licensed beds including Med/Surg, MICU, ED, Labor and Delivery, and a Level 2B Nursery,
• Respiratory Care unit staffing 5 therapists on days, 5 on evenings, and 4 on nights,
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge therapist, 2 assigned to a 20-bed ICU, and 2 assigned to Med/Surg floors,
• Uses PB980 Ventilator and Hamilton T1 Transport Ventilator,
• EPIC EMR charting system used,
• 36 hours per week, straight night shift schedule,
• Every other weekend (EOW) work required,
• 13-week assignment length,

Job Requirements

• RRT certification required,
• Active MA Respiratory Therapist license required (license required if applicable),
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy required,
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in one location,
• 1 to 2 years of experience working as a Traveler preferred,
• Ventilator experience in an acute care setting required,
• Ability to draw arterial blood gases required,
• BLS certification required (AHA only accepted for this facility),
• EPIC charting experience,

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services across ICU and Med/Surg patient populations,
• Work as part of a structured respiratory care team with defined unit assignments,
• Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed,
• Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility
