M&A Tax Associate

Overview BakerTilly is a leading advisory, tax, and assurance firm with a global presence, offering professional services through an alternative practice structure in accordance with AICPA standards. Our Merger & Acquisition practice assists owners and investors in managing tax exposure across buy‑side and sell‑side transactions, restructuring, and tax‑free deals. Responsibilities Assist seniors, managers, and partners in conducting financial due diligence on middle‑market companies across various industries. Conduct analytical reviews of data and prepare findings. Create draft reports for management review. Research issues that arise during the course of engagement. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting or a related field required. Master’s degree in Taxation or JD with LLM in taxation preferred. CPA preferred; if not a CPA, must meet educational requirements to obtain CPA license upon hire in the state of employment. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis upon hire. MossAdams will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future. Minimum 1 year of related experience. Previous experience in a public accounting firm or law firm preferred. Previous experience in tax due diligence and merger and acquisitions tax consulting preferred. Ability to understand problems, think critically, research and identify creative solutions. Ability to collaborate and work effectively across functions, departments, and teams while building trusted relationships and positively influencing others. Self‑directed professional who takes initiative for professional growth and development. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint). Travel Ability to travel as needed, approximately 15%. Compensation The pay rate range for this position is $84,000 to $164,300. Actual compensation is influenced by relevant factors including applicant’s skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements, and geographic location.
