Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)
Location: Arcata, CA
Type: Contract
Shift & Schedule: 7 Days On / 7 Days Off | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Wednesday–Tuesday | Every Other Week

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) for an exciting Travel or Local job in Arcata, CA.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex laboratory testing across multiple laboratory disciplines
• Conduct testing and analysis in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, urinalysis, coagulation, and blood bank
• Analyze, verify, and report accurate test results in a timely manner
• Perform blood bank procedures including compatibility testing and transfusion support
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment
• Perform quality control, calibrations, and routine maintenance according to laboratory standards
• Ensure compliance with laboratory policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and healthcare teams to support patient care
• Prioritize workload effectively during overnight shifts while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
• Document laboratory findings and maintain accurate patient records

Requirements

• Current California CLS or MLS License required
• Strong CLS Generalist experience required
• Blood bank experience required
• Previous hospital laboratory experience preferred
• Ability to work independently during night shifts
• Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• TB clearance completed within the past 12 months required
