Contract | 13 Weeks | 12-Hour Rotating Day/Night Shifts (7a–7p / 7p–7a) | Every other weekend and holiday required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-surgical care to adult and geriatric patients on a fast-paced 40-bed inpatient Post Surgical Care Unit following PACU recovery
• Manage a patient assignment of 4–5 patients on day/PM shifts and up to 5–7 patients on nights, prioritizing care based on acuity
• Support a unit averaging 10–15 admissions per day with an occupancy rate of 90–95% during the week and an average length of stay of 2–3 days
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Utilize Epic EMR , Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps for patient care and documentation
• Adhere to facility infection control policies, including mandatory masking requirements for staff who decline flu and COVID vaccination during flu season

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN License required
• BLS certification through AHA or ARC required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience with recent hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in post-surgical or PACU step-down care settings
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume, fast-paced inpatient environment
• Experience with Alaris infusion pumps and barcode medication administration
