Operating Room Nurses are vital members of the surgical team responsible for providing comprehensive patient care during surgical procedures. They ensure patients are well-prepared, monitored, and supported throughout the operative process, delivering critical information on outcomes and potential risks. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up the operating room with sterile equipment and supplies.
- Monitor patient vital signs and overall condition during surgery.
- Assist surgeons and surgical teams with procedures and instrument handling.
- Maintain sterile environment and adhere to strict infection control protocols.
- Provide preoperative and postoperative patient education and support.
- Document all clinical actions and patient responses accurately in medical records.
- Hold a minimum of 2 years of current CST experience.
- Certified through NCCT or NBSTSA.
- Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures, aseptic technique, and patient safety.
- Possess valid professional licensure and credentials relevant to operating room nursing.
- Exhibit strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Ability to follow detailed clinical guidelines and protocols.
