The RN will provide direct patient care to individuals of all age groups. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. The RN will monitor and coordinate care activities with ancillary departments to enhance patient comfort and outcomes. The role requires the RN to function within the established guidelines of nursing practice. Maintaining patient rights and confidentiality is crucial. Physical demands include standing and walking most of the time on duty. The RN may be required to lift and turn patients with assistance. The work environment involves exposure to blood and body fluids. The RN will utilize the nursing process to care for patients with various medical issues. Professional accountability for patient care is essential. Coordination of patient care with other departments is expected.
