Interventional Radiology Technologist
Schedule: M-F Days 0730-1600, on-call rotation weeknights & weekends
Assignment Details: Contract Weeks: 12 Guaranteed Hours: Contract Weeks: 12
Requirements: - 2 years of experience - Must have experience with neuro IR cases and GI embolization cases - R.T.(R) certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) OR one of the following advanced credentials: R.T.(VI), R.T.(CV), R.T.(CI), or RCIS
Roles & Responsibilities: - Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. - Maintain a sterile environment throughout procedures and prepare patients as necessary. - Review patient charts to verify exam orders and validate the reason for the exam. - Explain procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety. - Monitor patients for adverse reactions and ensure safety throughout the procedure. - Document procedures accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) and manage imaging data.
Compliance / Notes: - May need to respond in emergency situations, including providing Basic Life Support. - Follow best practice safety guidelines as established by governing regulatory bodies.
