Position Summary:

• Provides physical therapy treatments to patients under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist to enhance independence and functioning.

Responsibilities:

1. Attend patient care conferences and meetings as a representative of physical therapy.
2. Deliver rehab services effectively and efficiently, adhering to the plan of care, schedules, and documentation requirements.
3. Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to implement patient-specific programs.
4. Assist the Physical Therapist with tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
5. Instruct patients, families, and caregivers in physical therapy techniques under supervision.
6. Maintain timely and appropriate documentation for all treated patients.
7. Clean, maintain, and report equipment repair needs.
8. Ensure patients and families receive high-quality, compassionate care.
9. Implement individualized treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist.
10. Provide various physical therapy treatments, including therapeutic exercises, functional training, manual therapy, airway clearance techniques, integumentary repair, and use of therapeutic modalities.

Compliance Requirements:

• Adhere to legal requirements, standards, policies, and procedures, including the Compliance and Ethics Program, Code of Conduct, Federal False Claims Act, and HIPAA.
• Participate in orientation, training, quality assurance, and process improvement activities.
• Report concerns or non-compliance issues promptly and cooperate with audits and investigations.

Environmental Conditions:

• Work primarily indoors (90%) with occasional outdoor activities (10%).
• Exposure to noise, vibrations, hazards, moving machinery, uneven ground, and protective clothing is required.

Work Situations:

• Involves measurable criteria, dealing with people, repetitive tasks, performing under stress, problem-solving, and following instructions.

Occupational Exposure:

• Category I exposure.
