Job Details Location: McKinney Donor Center - McKinney, TX 75070 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Diploma / GED Equivalent Job Category: Health Care Responsibilities The Mobile/Site Supervisor provides a vital link in the procurement of safe quality blood product. Essential functions include assisting in smooth and efficient donor flow, determining donor acceptability, performing sterile venipuncture, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring compliance with regulations and standard operating procedures throughout the donation process. The position will oversee and assign responsibilities to collections staff, and may be involved in staff processes such as interviews, discipline, performance reviews, hiring and terminations. Responsibilities also include solving personnel and donor problems, addressing procedural or behavioural problems, and making verbal or written reports to management. The Mobile/Site Supervisor is required to attend and complete annual leadership/development training resources, mentor and assist with on the job development of new hires and subordinate staff, and may participate in special projects or programmes. Regular full‑time attendance during operational hours is required. Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent Some college a plus Experience Minimum 2 years general work experience, preferably with the public or education including internships or externships Customer service experience required; intern and/or externship experience will satisfy this requirement Minimum 6 months to 1 year supervisory experience Previous Phlebotomy, blood banking, or medical field experience Background in a highly regulated industry Bilingual skills and CDL driver a plus Skills and Knowledge Computer knowledge required Excellent customer service and verbal/written communication skills Self‑motivated, positive, able to work well with others in a team atmosphere Detail oriented in document reviews, able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks Physical Requirements Ability to move about the work area, including standing, sitting, walking and working in confined spaces and narrow aisles Ability to ascend and descend stairs/steps daily to enter and exit transport vehicles, as well as stoop, kneel, crouch or bend to set up and access blood collection equipment Ability to communicate with donors to obtain medical history and monitor during donation Ability to move and set up blood collection equipment weighing up to 25 pounds daily; ability to partner to carry items over 25 pounds and up to 120 pounds; assistance with donors experiencing reactions Frequent load/unload of vehicles, push carts or dollies up to 250 pounds in all weather conditions including adverse weather Flexibility to work irregular shifts, long hours and adapt to frequent schedule changes Ability to adapt to changing environment and work effectively in high stress situations Exposure to potentially infectious blood and blood products daily Normal vision requirements for seeing close and distant objects, adjusting focus, distinguishing colours and judging distance Regular exposure to cleaning chemicals including bleach EEO Statement Carter BloodCare is an EEO/Affirmative Action employer.
