One Standard.This position is primarily warehouse work with a real secondary responsibility. When the operation needs coverage, you get behind the wheel. It happens because we take care of the people who take care of us, our customers and our team alike, and we are looking for someone who wants to be part of a team that stays.What You Will OwnIn the warehouse, where you will spend most of your time:Load and unload trucks and trailers, positioning and securing pallets safelyPull and fill orders with accuracy, then stage them for shipmentReceive and stock incoming inventory, and complete basic shipping and receiving documentationVerify parts, serial numbers, and paperwork against physical inventory at every stepSupport cycle counts and inventory auditsOperate a sit-down forklift, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, including required pre-shift equipment checksAs a backup driver, when the operation calls for you:Safely operate Tropic Supply vans and light box trucks under 26,001 lbs GVWR on local routesComplete pre-trip and post-trip inspectionsVerify product accuracy and handle delivery documentationRepresent Tropic Supply professionally at every stopSafe operation and accurate paperwork are non-negotiable.Assist counter sales with order fulfillment and help customers load product safelyKeep the warehouse clean and organized to standardAttention to detail is not a soft skill here. It is the job. A wrong pull or a missed serial number creates a real problem for a contractor downstream, and we hold that standard every day.QualificationsWhat You Must BringDriving Requirements, Non-NegotiableMust be 21 years of age or olderValid driver's license in good standingMotor vehicle record subject to review and approval per Tropic Supply driving standardsMinimum six months of verifiable non-CDL commercial vehicle driving experience within the last three yearsValid DOT medical certificateAbility to read, write, and communicate in English for safety compliance, delivery documentation, and customer interactionWarehouse RequirementsHands-on experience operating a sit-down forklift, requiredMinimum one year of warehouse experience in a distribution, supply, or logistics environmentWorking knowledge of RF scanning equipment, warehouse management systems, and basic computer operationsAbility to lift up to 75 lbs consistently throughout a shift and sustain physical activity in a non-climate-controlled environmentStrong attention to detail and a documented track record of order and inventory accuracyAbility to read, understand, and follow written instructions, safety materials, and company proceduresPhysical RequirementsThis role combines full warehouse shifts with periodic driving responsibilities in Florida heat.
