Title: Associate Lead Analyst 1

Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007 

Duties: Derive credit ratings for multiple classes of asset backed securities. Assign new ratings on securitizations backed by auto loans/leases, unsecured consumer loans, student loans and similar asset classes. Develop strong cross-industry knowledge through hands-on credit analysis, methodology training, and collaborative engagement with new ratings and surveillance teams. Analyze the underlying asset portfolio, transaction structure, legal documents, deal-level financial modeling to formulate and substantiate independent credit opinions and credit aspects of new structured finance transactions across multiple asset classes and producing publishable research. Undertake special projects intended to enhance Moody's thought leadership in credit markets and operational efficiencies, including digital enablement projects. Lead rating committees and off er their analysis of the credit risk of the transactions, potential credit impact of the terms of the transaction documents and communicate effectively with customers, including arrangers, issuers, investors, and outside legal experts, conducting appropriate market dialogue around transaction credit analysis.

Requirements: Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field plus two (2) years of experience as an Analyst or in a related position working at a credit ratings agency or financial services firm. Experience must include the following: perform credit analysis on securitizations backed by auto loans/leases, and unsecured consumer loans; conduct quantitative financial modeling and statistical analysis; analyzing credit impact of macro-economic events; presenting credit analyses internally and externally; leading credit committee discussions; analyzing deal documents
and authoring credit opinions, issuer analyses, or internal research memos; applying knowledge of capital markets and structures and consumer asset-backed securities (ABS); and reviewing legal documents, including indentures or loan documents.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $87,838 to $189,600/yr, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
