Phlebotomy

Make blood draws as comfortable as possible for our patients while keeping every specimen accurate and on time. About the role As a Phlebotomist at Coastal, you’ll collect blood and other specimens from our patients in our on-site lab. A gentle, confident approach helps patients feel at ease, especially those who are nervous about needles. You’ll work closely with our Lab Technicians and clinical teams to keep testing accurate and results moving quickly. What you’ll do Perform venipunctures and other specimen collections Verify patient identity and lab orders before each draw Label, process and prepare specimens for testing or send-out Help patients feel comfortable and explain each step Keep accurate records and follow infection control and safety protocols Keep the draw area clean, stocked and organized What you’ll bring Phlebotomy training and certification (or eligibility) Experience drawing blood in a clinical setting preferred A calm, gentle and reassuring manner with patients Strong attention to detail and accuracy Working at Coastal Monday to Friday during practice hours.
