Practice Overview:
• Position is based at our Gainesville campus as a part of a well-established group of general and sub-specialized surgeons.
• Desire to provide full range colorectal surgery practice to include colonoscopy, acute care and general surgery services with a focus in elective.
• NGHS is in the third year of its General Surgery residency program with 6 residents per Program Year.
• DaVinci 5 and Xi Robot available
• EPIC EMR Platform
• Two GI groups within practice region
• 24/7 Hospitalist coverage
• Clinic 2-3 days per week
Working together with Physicians like you:
• General Surgery residency completion required from an accredited ACGME program
• Colorectal Surgery fellowship completion required from an accredited program
• Colon and Rectal Surgery certification by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery and/or certification by the American Osteopathic Board of Proctology
• M.D. or D.O.
• Meets requirements for medical license to practice in Georgia
• A high level of interpersonal skills to allow effective communications with a wide variety of hospital personnel, physicians, and the general public.
• Board-certified candidates required with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience
• Strong preference that experience includes work in graduate medical education
• Fits well in a team-oriented care delivery model
• Advanced laparoscopic and Robotic skill sets
