LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for an enthusiastic, team-oriented, and goal-driven individual to join the team as a Part-Time Phlebotomist in Cullman, AL.Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)Perform phlebotomies and collect blood from donors according to LifeSouth Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)Collect blood using automated instruments (once trained)Register donors for blood collection in the LifeSouth computer system (IBBIS)Determine donor eligibility based on the results of the donor interview and physical processAccurately identify donors in every step of the donation processAssist in recruitment, tele-recruitment and rescheduling of donorsConvert donors to automated technology (apheresis) when appropriateProvide the highest level of customer service to both internal and external customersQualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDMust be able to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends and holidaysValid driver's license. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver's eligibility requirementsProficient in a variety of computer software applicationsExcellent teamwork skillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as procedure manualsAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writingPrevious customer service experience preferredCDL holders preferred; additional compensation availableLifeSouth is a non-profit community blood bank serving more than 150 hospitals in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. Starting salary range is $15.50 - $17.05 an hour. Criminal background check, and drug screen required upon conditional offer of hire.
