ABAP Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking an ABAP Developer to design, develop, and support custom SAP applications within an SAP S/4HANA environment. This role is responsible for developing complex ABAP solutions, collaborating with technical and functional teams, integrating new functionality with existing applications, and supporting enterprise SAP modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Object-Oriented ABAP, CDS Views, RAP, OData, and modern SAP development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver complex custom ABAP solutions within an SAP S/4HANA environment.

• Collaborate with technical and functional teams to analyze requirements and develop scalable SAP solutions.

• Develop applications using Object-Oriented ABAP, CDS Views, OData, RAP, RFCs, BAPIs, BADIs, and enhancement frameworks.

• Extend and integrate new functionality with existing custom SAP applications.

• Develop and optimize ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP).

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects identified during testing and production support.

• Follow SAP development standards, coding guidelines, and change management processes.

• Analyze application architecture and database structures to develop efficient technical solutions.

• Maintain technical documentation and participate in code reviews.

• Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of development activities.

• Provide ongoing production support and technical enhancements as required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA development.

• Strong expertise in Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP).

• Experience with Core Data Services (CDS) Views, OData, and the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).

• Experience developing custom ABAP solutions using RFCs, BAPIs, BADIs, enhancement frameworks, and custom programs.

• Experience with ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP).

• Ability to independently develop solutions from high-level functional design documents.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on SAPUI5 or SAP Fiori projects.

• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA development standards and modern ABAP syntax.

• Experience supporting enterprise SAP implementations and modernization initiatives.

• Knowledge of SAP application architecture and best practices for custom development.
