Job Requirements

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure with advanced practice certification
• 1+ year of experience in critical care, intensive care, ICU, or a closely related acute care setting
• Board certification eligible
• BLS certification required
• Ability to work night shifts and manage a variable patient volume in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams

Responsibilities

• Perform initial patient assessments and triage based on presenting conditions in the critical care setting
• Review procedure and laboratory results and communicate findings and plans with the physician team
• Return calls and provide updates to patients and families regarding results and care plans
• Assist with arranging appropriate follow-up care and next steps to support continuity of care
• Answer and return calls from established patients and their families while assessing needs
• Support preauthorization processes for medications, diagnostic studies, and treatments within scope of practice
• Screen patients and contribute to a safe, efficient clinical workflow in the ICU / critical care environment
