Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Float Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Job Summary Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, coordinating care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Essential Functions Collect relevant data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation. Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues. Develop a care plan that prescribes interventions to achieve specific outcomes. Implement the care plan and coordinate care delivery to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluate progress toward attaining desired outcomes and identify further needs for the patient. Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide patient care in a safe and caring environment. Provide learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members. Directly provide health information to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegate tasks appropriately and coordinate the duties of healthcare team members. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
