Seeking a dedicated educator to serve as a Special Education Teacher at the elementary level, supporting resource services for first and fourth-grade students. This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a direct impact in the classroom, working with a manageable caseload of approximately 10 students to help them achieve their academic and personal goals. Your expertise will provide essential support, encouragement, and structure for young learners who benefit from tailored instruction.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Previous experience working with elementary-aged children, particularly in a resource or pull-out setting
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and monitoring
• Effective classroom management skills with a compassionate, student-focused approach
• Ability to differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted instruction to help students access core curriculum and meet IEP goals
• Adapt lessons and materials to accommodate individual student strengths and areas for growth
• Maintain clear, constructive communication with parents and school staff regarding student progress
• Manage IEP documentation, reporting, and compliance with district and legal requirements
• Provide guidance and advocacy for students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Collaborate regularly with grade-level teams and participate in professional development as needed

This position follows a consistent schedule, Monday through Friday, from 8:50 am to 3:35 pm, supporting a healthy work-life balance.
