Emergency Medical TechnicianProvides on-site emergency medical assistance as required, within EMT scope of practice and performs duties of a Public Safety Officer.ResponsibilitiesMaintains EMT equipment to ensure a constant state of EMT response readiness.Responds to requests for medical assistance.Performs thorough patient assessments in accordance with EMT protocols.Administers appropriate treatment within EMT Scope of Practice.Initiates requests for Advanced Life Support as needed.Interacts with ALS personnel and provides seamless interface at transfer of patient care.Provides comprehensive documentation of incident contact on PCR and computer data entry.Maintains personal skill level through participation with in-service training programs.Maintains a professional appearance, attitude, and demeanor in interaction with guests and fellow Team Members.Serves as a technician by collecting/processing urine samples for drug testing in accordance with policy/procedures.Performs public safety officer duties as assigned, including, but not limited to, visitor escorts to Tribal Gaming Agency and handling lost and found items.Upholds a work environment that promotes teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, and collaboration, while role modeling the company values, behaviors, and culture of One.Team.Chumash.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED Certificate.Prior EMT experience is preferred.Current California State Emergency Medical Technician certification.Current CPR Certification.Required to pass EMT Skills Evaluation Patient Assessment.Basic computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, e-mail, and internet.Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends.Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.Native American hiring preference applies.Strategic Thinking: Understands and processes complex information and exercises sound judgment, considering the situation, the issues, the key players, and the levels of authority involved.
