Full Time Professional Hauppauge, NY, US 8 days ago Requisition ID: 1020 Salary Range: $120,000.00 To $140,000.00 Annually Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Controller and play a key leadership role in shaping our financial operations and success! (THIS IS NOT A REMOTE JOB) About the Role: As the Assistant Controller, you will oversee daily accounting operations, including supervision and development of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable staff. You’ll ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, manage month- and year-end close processes, and support the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports. This role is a critical link between transactional accounting functions and organizational leadership, maintaining GAAP compliance, strengthening internal controls, and driving process improvements. Key Responsibilities: Lead day-to-day accounting activities (AP, AR, General Ledger) Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff Manage the month- and year-end close processes Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial transactions and reporting Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and support informed decision-making Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls Support external audits, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting Recommend and implement process improvements Partner with cross-functional teams and lead key projects (including AP automation) What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA or progress toward CPA preferred 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams Experience with ERP systems (preferred) Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills Commitment to continuous process improvement Why Join Us?
