Senior Java Engineer

To support a high-impact digital payments modernization program, the remote Senior Java Engineer will manage the integration of a major card network into a large financial institution, focusing on developing and maintaining backend services, domain-driven design, and cloud architecture. Key responsibilities Develop and harden services using Spring Boot, JPA, and PostgreSQL, while designing integration workflows and event-driven architectures Build and maintain micro-frontend applications and manage OAuth2/OIDC identity architecture end-to-end Drive performance testing strategies and implement continuous testing/automation pipelines as part of CI/CD Required qualifications 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, primarily in Java Strong knowledge of relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL, and experience with containerized environments like OpenShift Experience with Spring Boot, business rules engines, and integration frameworks such as Apache Camel Demonstrated experience in domain-driven design and cloud IAM architecture Background in digital payments or financial services technology is strongly preferred
