Senior Portfolio Manager (Trust)The Senior Portfolio Manager (Trust) is responsible for managing client investment portfolios, making daily investment decisions concerning investment portfolios, implementing stated strategies from the Chief Investment Officer, and executing investment decisions for the assigned investment portfolios.Essential FunctionsMeet with clients to discuss investment strategyRecommend portfolio changes and review investment performanceIdentify and analyze rates of return and risks associated with the various components of the investments and other potential investmentsMonitor the financial condition of the securities which are held in investment portfoliosKeep informed of market trends and analyzing the effect of these trends on the investment portfoliosMaintain relationships with traders as well as with other members of the investment community to execute investment decisions in a timely mannerServe as a member on Trust Investment CommitteeManage bond and equity investments for individual trust and advisory clientsMaximize investment returns commensurate with acceptable level of riskKeep informed on security marketsResearch to arrive at prudent / timely investment decisionsInitiate action for purchase and sale of securitiesDevelop client investment objectives with input from administrators and clientsProvide investment advice and guidanceKeep informed of legal and tax consequences of decisions / strategiesDevelop investment strategy communication for clients and prospectsInitiate and author client correspondenceCommunicate investment related information as appropriateEnsure compliance with Trust policies and proceduresSchedule and conduct client meetings on periodic basisConduct regular investment reviews as requiredReview financial/investment markets dailyCoordinate customer documentation and agreementsEnsure total document and data integrityManage personal workload/work flowAssist with setting personal goals and targetsCultivate potential referrals from existing accountsAnalyze accurate customer needsRecommend investment / trust alternativesPerform presentations / meetings with prospectsFinalize new agreements with customersCoordinate and prepare information for RFP requestsCross selling other Northwest products and servicesRecommend improvements to proceduresMaximize technology tools availableAssure accurate information passed to Trust OperationsOversee system coding on individual accountsMinimize departmental nonpayroll costsAdhere to stated Trust department fee schedulesMinimize non standard fee schedulesEnsure compliance with Northwest's policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulationsNavigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiencyWork as part of a teamWork with on-site equipment Safety and Health for those without supervisory dutiesAbiding by the rules of the safety and loss prevention programPerform work tasks in a safe mannerReport any and all injuries to supervisorKnow what to do in case of an emergencyQualificationsBachelor's Degree business / finance / related8 - 12 years investment experience within a trust department, RIAAbility to establish effective working relationships among team members and participate in solving problems and making decisionsAbility to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to the audience, whether oral or writtenAbility to actively listen to what others are saying to achieve understanding, sharing information with others and facilitating the open exchange of ideas and informationAbility to establish courses of action for self to accomplish specific goals, develop and use tracking systems for monitoring own work progress, and effectively use resources such as time and informationAbility to make right decisions based on perceptive and analytical processes, practicing good judgment in gray areasAbility to analyze financial dataKnowledge of economics and marketsClient relationship management skillsLicenses and Certifications CFA, CFP, CIMANorthwest is an equal opportunity employer.
