Evolve Healthcare is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel contract in a long-term acute care in patient rehab hospital in San Leandro, CA. Estimated Hourly Pay: $60.88 (travelers hourly estimated gross based off 40 hours with per diem/stipends) Estimated Weekly Gross Pay: $2435.00 Specialty: Physical Therapist (PT) Discipline: Therapy Start Date: 7/24/23 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8:30am-5:00pm schedule M-F with weekends on request Compensation: $2435.00/week (travelers weekly estimated gross with per diem/stipends) Employment Type: Travel Contract Location: San Leandro, CA 94577 Physical therapists (PTs) are health care professionals who diagnose and treat individuals of all ages, from newborns to the very oldest, who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives. PTs examine each individual and develop a plan using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. In addition, PTs work with individuals to prevent the loss of mobility before it occurs by developing fitness- and wellness-oriented programs for healthier and more active lifestyles. Physical therapists provide care for people in a variety of settings, including hospitals, private practices, outpatient clinics, home health agencies, schools, sports and fitness facilities, work settings, and nursing homes. State licensure is required in each state in which a physical therapist practices. Requirements Facility Requirement: Traveler must have permanent address outside 50-mile radius of San Leandro, CA 94577 (address must be included in traveler's profile). Local candidates may be considered. Experience: Must have experience working in a hospital or rehab units. Traveler must have completed 1-2 year of acute care or inpatient rehab experience. Preferred if traveler has completed at least one 13-week contract. Licensure and Certification: Traveler must have CA Physical Therapist Licensure BLS must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY Education Graduated from accredited School of Physical Therapy Reference Needs 2 references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only). Physical Requirements Good general health and stress coping ability. Full mobility and ability to participate in normal activity. Demonstrates ability to speak and hear to communicate with patients, physicians, hospital personnel and the public. Near vision acuity for accurate reading and ability to inspect and analyze work. Able to lift up to thirty (30) pounds. Able to bend, stoop and stretch with minimal physical limitation.
