FULL-TIME PHARMACISTIberia Comprehensive Community Health Center (ICCHC) and its satellite health centers are the leading providers of primary health care services in the communities we serve, including individuals who are both insured and uninsured. ICCHC provides multi-disciplinary, comprehensive health care services, and pharmacy services.ICCHC is currently seeking a Full-Time Pharmacist for our new Surrey Street CHC location opening in the Fall 2026.The Pharmacist is a member of the senior management team. The Pharmacists are responsible for dispensing prescription drugs to patients. They provide information about those drugs and help patients understand the instructions their doctors or other health practitioners provided. They monitor their patients' health and progress to make sure their medications are working effectively and safely.Principal duties and responsibilities include:Dispensing prescription drugs to patients accurately and efficientlyEnsuring the accuracy of prescriptions given to patients and information given to managementProviding information and education to patients concerning their prescription medicationsWill master Parata Automation and all software utilized by Rx StaffEnsuring the accuracy and oversight of all medications entering and leaving the Rx DepartmentMaintain a clean and orderly departmentEnforce the policies within the Pharmacy department including no food or eating in the work area, no unauthorized visitors, etc...Stay abreast of all laws governing the safe and effective operations of the pharmacy departmentConduct inventories of prescription medications as necessary to ensure accurate counts for internal/external auditsNotify the CEO of all inquiries, audits, or compliance issues concerning the Pharmacy department in a timely mannerCorrespond and communicate effectively with providers concerning proper utilization of prescription medicationsMaintain all required licenses and certifications in a timely mannerPerform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Director and CEOQualifications include:Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacyLicensed Pharmacist in the state of Louisiana3-5 years of experience preferred
