Furnace OperatorQPS is seeking Furnace Operator right here in Beaver Dam! These roles assist in processing parts through our furnaces. Openings on 1st or 3rd shift, with an ASAP start! Here is a chance to get into a great company and begin a new career!Furnace Operator Responsibilities:Monitor and control the operation of furnaces to ensure optimal performance and adherence to production schedulesLoad and unload powdered metal components into and out of the furnace according to established proceduresMonitor and adjust furnace temperature, atmosphere, and other parameters to achieve desired sintering results and product specificationsConduct regular inspections of sintered parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specificationsIdentify and address any deviations or defects in the sintering processPerform routine maintenance and cleaning of furnaces and related equipment to ensure proper functioning and prevent downtimeAdhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating furnaces and handling powdered metal materialsMaintain a clean and organized work area to minimize safety risksRecord and maintain accurate production and process data, including furnace operating parameters, material usage, and quality inspection resultsCoordinate with other team members, including machine operators, quality inspectors, and maintenance technicians, to optimize production efficiency and qualityRequirements for Furnace Operator:High School Diploma or equivalentPrior experience in furnace operation, preferably in a manufacturing environmentStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAbility to read and interpret technical documents and production specificationsWillingness to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing prioritiesAbility to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)Ability to tolerate exposure to high temperatures and noisy environmentsQPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
