Paramedics Faculty

Responsibilities Deliver Emergency Medical Services instruction in day and alternate schedule formats across multiple levels and learning styles. Maintain consistent communication with students through office hours, email, and telephone. Participate in departmental maintenance, program and curricular meetings, accreditation, and information sessions. Develop curriculum and lesson plans to maintain relevancy with the status of the field and accrediting body. Support the mission, vision, and core values of Anoka Technical College. Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice through inclusive educational practices. Perform other duties as assigned by the Academic Dean, Vice President or President. Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree. Three full‑time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in pre‑hospital, emergency, or critical care settings. One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. Current Minnesota certification, registration, or licensure as a paramedic, physician, physician’s assistant, or registered nurse. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree. American Heart Association CPR certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Instructorship certification. Microsoft Office skills – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Leadership or mentoring experience – professional or personal. Benefits Full‑time faculty work 171 days during a nine‑month academic year.
