Service Writer - Parts Department

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: managing the workflow within the shop by working with drivers and Maintenance Team Leaders to schedule equipment for repair.  This person is responsible for works, ordering parts, inventory control, opening and closing repair orders and purchase orders.  The Parts Manager is responsible for insuring proper data integrity is maintained throughout the shop and the RO’s are properly filled in prior to processing. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items over 50 pounds. 

 

 

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have an excellent mechanical understanding of trucks and trailers as well as analytical and problem solving skills, good computer skills and be able to develop and maintain rapport with employees, and management.

 

Hours of employment are Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and every other Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  We offer an excellent benefit package which includes paid holidays, paid vacation, health dental/vision, short term disability, life insurance, profit sharing and employer matched 401K .  Pay will be based on the candidate’s experience.
