Duties

• Prepare and assemble food items efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders accurately and swiftly
• Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change and totals
• Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, upselling menu items, and answering questions about the menu
• Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, sanitizing workstations, and ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed
• Assist in food prep tasks like chopping, cooking, and plating to support kitchen operations during busy periods
• Manage time effectively to ensure quick service delivery in a fast food or quick service restaurant environment

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or retail environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards is highly desirable
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
• Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly and confidently
• Capable of standing for extended periods, working in a fast-paced setting, and multitasking efficiently
• Basic understanding of sanitation practices and food handling regulations is essential
• Experience working in a café, grocery store, or food industry setting will be advantageous
