Junior .NET Developer

Overview
Seeking a Junior .NET Developer to support the implementation and ongoing support of client applications. This role is well suited for a software developer with up to 2 years of professional experience who is looking to build hands-on experience across the full software development lifecycle. The developer will work closely with System Architects, Business Analysts, and other members of the development team to understand business requirements, implement application components, perform testing, and provide technical analysis and support.



Duties

• Develop, test, and implement application components based on design specifications and business requirements.
• Assist with the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and support.
• Work with System Architects and Business Analysts to understand business requirements and solution architecture.
• Develop design artifacts and technical documentation as needed.
• Develop applications using ASP.NET MVC, Web API/RESTful services, ASP.NET Web Forms, and the .NET Framework.
• Write and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and other database components.
• Apply object-oriented design and programming principles to application development.
• Provide technical analysis and development support to the project team.
• Write use cases and assist in translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot application issues and assist with ongoing production and client application support.
• Manage multiple priorities and deliverables while working effectively within a team or independently.
• Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and other development processes.
• Communicate effectively with team members and, as appropriate, client stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 1+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with .NET Framework and C# development.
• Experience with ASP.NET MVC 5.0.
• Experience developing Web API and RESTful services.
• Experience with ASP.NET Web Forms.
• Strong SQL development skills.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design and programming.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as an individual contributor.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables.
• Ability to understand technical requirements and contribute to application design and development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with responsive web design, including Bootstrap and LESS.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as AngularJS and jQuery.
• Knowledge of Unity Application Block.
• Experience using Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS).
• Knowledge of SQL database administration.
• Experience writing detailed use cases.
• Experience interacting directly with clients.
• Experience in the Workforce Development industry.
• Familiarity with modern software development and testing practices.
