In this role, you will operate radiology equipment under physician supervision, ensuring accurate patient identification by verifying two forms of ID and confirming physician orders. You will actively participate in mandatory meetings, continuing education, and maintain competency checklists to uphold high standards of care.

Education: An associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in Radiologic Technology is required.

Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in general operating room imaging and at least one specialty area is essential. Preferred candidates have two years of clinical experience post-graduation.

Licenses and Certifications: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography and CT, hold a current state license, and possess a valid BLS certification from recognized providers such as the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Requirements and Skills: Knowledge of human anatomy and radiological positioning is critical, along with a strong commitment to patient safety and radiation protection following ALARA principles. You will verify physician orders, administer imaging contrast agents safely, and communicate exam details effectively to ease patient anxiety and obtain informed consent. Leadership qualities are valued, as mentoring staff and students is part of the role.

Physical Demands: This position involves light physical work, including occasional lifting up to 25 pounds and standing or walking for 11-25% of the workday.

Work within a supportive team environment in a regional healthcare setting in the Central Plains area of the United States, contributing to process improvement initiatives and maintaining professional relationships with patients, colleagues, and external partners.
