Data Center Technician

Data Center M&E Tech – Night Shift Location: Denver – 1500 Champa Street, CO Hours: M-F 8pm – 5am (flexible) Assignment Duration: 1 year (potential FTE conversion) Shift Type: In-Person Job Summary This role utilizes advanced skills to perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs in a Data Center operation, overseeing electrical and mechanical systems including UPS, generators, chillers, electrical distribution, HVAC systems, Building Management Systems, and CMMS work dispatching. The role also includes administrative tasks such as data entry and work order management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform daily site inspections of all M&E systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance. Complete assigned work per established processes and procedures in accordance with environment, health and safety policy, ensuring safety processes and PPE requirements are followed. Ensure regulatory requirements and quality standards are met. Oversee third‑party vendors, ensuring compliance with developed processes and applicable laws/regulations. Accompany vendors on site visits as needed, help create and develop work processes, job hazard analysis reports, SOPs for critical work with risk assessment, and ensure CERM documents and logbooks are updated. Complete all required training to successfully carry out job responsibilities. Administrative Responsibilities Input completed data into designated forms. Manage work orders and documentation. Support initial two‑week training (M-F 8‑5pm). Qualifications 4–5 years of experience in mechanical or electrical engineering/operations, preferably in a data center. High School Diploma or GED required; completed trade school program preferred. Strong mechanical and electrical skills; ability to read schematics and blueprints. Data analysis experience and basic financial knowledge (e.g., simple calculations). Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel; experience with CMMS and other applications. Certified Electrician or HVAC technician preferred. Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn. Background check and drug screen required. Training and On‑boarding All initial training will be conducted Monday‑Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., first two weeks. Candidates must be available during this period.
