Position: TIG WELDER Location: Boise, ID Job Id: 191 # of Openings: 1 Duty Description – TIG Welder The TIG Welder is responsible for the complete fit up and welding of stainless-steel components. Key duties include grinding and cutting using various tools, welding stainless-steel components to precise specifications, ensuring structural integrity and high-quality finishes. The TIG Welder will have the opportunity to operate and maintain fabrication equipment including press brakes and waterjet. The welder is expected to read and interpret technical drawings, and work instructions, ensuring all work meets dimensional and aesthetic standards. Additional responsibilities include completing final assembly of equipment, inspecting completed workpieces, performing basic equipment maintenance, and adhering to all safety and quality standards. Welders and fabricators work closely with engineering and quality teams to ensure all assemblies meet structural and performance standards. Key Responsibilities Perform TIG welding on stainless steel components with attention to detail and weld quality. Food grade quality welding procedures on various components including pipe. Cut and grind stainless steel using tools such as grinders, and saws. Read and interpret fabrication drawings and job orders. Conduct inspections of finished components to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow company safety procedures and guidelines. Opportunity to operate press brake. Opportunity to operate waterjet. Opportunity to occasionally utilize MIG welding process. Qualifications Proficiency in TIG welding techniques. Proven experience in metal fabrication, Preferred experience with stainless steel. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship. Knowledge of workplace safety standards and PPE requirements. Machine Shop Safety Description: The machine shop is a high-risk environment where safety is critical. All personnel must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, and closed-toe shoes. Loose clothing, jewelry, and long hair must be secured to prevent entanglement in machinery. Before operating any equipment, users must be properly trained and authorized. Machines should never be left running unattended, and emergency stops must always be accessible. Regular maintenance and inspections help ensure equipment remains in safe working condition. Cleanliness and organization are essential—keep walkways clear and promptly clean up spills to prevent slips and trips. Always follow posted safety signs and procedures and report any hazards or malfunctions immediately. By staying alert and following proper safety protocols, injuries can be prevented and a safe working environment maintained for all. Physical Requirements: Physical Requirements Must be able to lift 25 LBS multiple times a day Must be able to lift up to 45 LBS on occasion Must be able to stand at least 80% of the day Adherence to Company Policies: All employees are expected to adhere to company policies to maintain a professional, respectful, and productive work environment.
