Qualifications:

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification and active state license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience in critical care or rehabilitation environments preferred
• Proficiency in invasive and non-invasive ventilation, oxygen/aerosol device management, and nebulizer treatments
• Knowledge of pulmonary function testing, 12-Lead EKG, arrhythmia identification, and tracheostomy care

Responsibilities:

• Provide intensive respiratory therapies and patient transport as prescribed
• Educate patients and families on treatment processes and discharge procedures
• Administer and monitor ventilatory support, manage oxygen and aerosol devices, and perform chest physiotherapy
• Conduct suctioning, arterial punctures, capnography, oximetry, and pulmonary function assessments
• Support procedures such as bronchoscopy, endotracheal intubation, chest tube placements, and tracheostomy changes
• Ensure accurate documentation, participate in shift handoffs, and communicate with attending teams
• Adhere strictly to laboratory policies and quality controls, including specimen processing and result reporting
